Now feeling really sorry for him. Chris Brown will stay in jail until June after his D.C assault trial was delayed for months. His lawyer applied for bail yesterday but a judge in L.A turned him down.

His trial was supposed to start yesterday April 23rd but was delayed because his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, who has already been found guilty of assault, wanted immunity to testify on Chris' behalf, saying that he and not Chris punched the fan. But he wasn't granted immunity and so he is refusing to testify while he appeals his verdict. Chris Brown's trial is now on hold until after Hollosy's appeal concludes...and this will take months. Chris Brown faces up to four years in prison if found guilty.

The singer reportedly broke down in court when he was told his bail application was denied. Now he's being sent back to California on Con-Air in chains to await his trial date. Hang in there, Chris!

Yeezy has also been ordered to perform 250 hours of community service and undergo 30 days of anger management counseling.

Kanye pled no contest to one count of misdemeanor battery yesterday in response to videographer Daniel Ramos lawsuit against him. Kanye attacked Ramos at LAX airport in August last year as the paparazzo tried to take photos of him

Minus the two year probation and community service, Kanye is also required to complete 24 sessions of a level-2 anger management program and he must turn himself in to the LAPD for a formal booking. Kanye agreed to all this to make the case disappear from his record.

EFCC arrests 4 undergraduates, 3 others for internet scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested four undergraduates and three others for alleged involvement in Internet scam.

They were arrested in two different locations in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The undergraduates are: Otuyalo Damilola (right), a 400 level student of Computer Science of Lead City University, Ibadan; Adegbuyi Michael (left), an undergraduate of University of Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia; Ibrahim Aruna, (centre) a student of Mineral Resources Engineering, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State and Adeosun Matthew, a 200 level student of Banking and Finance, University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Others are Afolabi Ayodele, Balogun Olumuyiwa and Abiola Okunola.

Five of the suspects: Aruna, Matthew, Ayodele, Olumuyiwa and Okunola were arrested together at the Iyana Adeoyo Branch of a first generation bank in Dugbe, Ibadan, while they were collecting proceeds of scam via Western Union.

The other two suspects: Damilola and Michael were picked up in a rented apartment in Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The arrest of the seven suspects followed intense surveillance by operatives of the Commission who had been on their trail for sometime. One of the suspects, Olumuyiwa, admitted conning a white American lady, Sarah Jorth, in a romance scam. He said he was used a false name (Vincente Marco) to deceive her into believing that he would marry her and in the process raked in more than $450,000 ( Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars) from her.

Two other suspects: Damilola and Michael also confessed that they were into Internet scam to make ends meet. According to Damilola, "I am into yahoo yahoo (Internet fraud) and I do this to earn a living. I make use of a laptop to access Internet, to look for vulnerable white men and women who will fall for my scam. I acquired my Infinity Jeep and Honda Accord car through the fraud". He also admitted that he had been in the business since 2010.

Michael confessed that he started Internet scam since 2000 when he was a student at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Even when he moved to Malaysia, he was still engrossed in the business. "Anytime I come home on holiday, I look for vulnerable targets because the rigour of studies in Malaysia would not allow me to do it there,” he said. He disclosed that his specialty was lottery scam.

Items recovered from the suspects include: three laptop computers; one flash drive; two Visafone modems; one traveling passport; one Infinity Fx 35 SUV, one Honda Accord car and some bank documents.

They will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Lady beats 10 year old niece into unconsciousness for bed-wetting

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old security guard, Joy Amodu (pictured above), for allegedly torturing her 10-year-old niece, Foziya Danjuma for several hours till the little girl fell unconscious. All because Foziya peed on her bed on February 28, 2014, Punch reports 

According to the police, the suspect as punishment, used a spatula to beat the 10-year-old and inserted Aboniki balm (methyl salicylate ointment) inside her private parts and her eyes. The suspect also allegedly inflicted teeth bites all over the girl’s body. It was after the girl fainted during the beating that her aunt rushed her to a hospital in the Ajah area, but she was rejected. Amodu then took her niece to a military hospital on the Victoria Island, but the victim was referred to the Military Hospital, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. It was at the military hospital that a non-governmental organisation, Hands that Care, took over the case and reported it to the police.

The suspect, crying profusely, said she only beat her niece on three occasions. That the victim was her uncle’s daughter and she would never attempt to kill her.

“I am very sorry for my action. I did not envisage what happened. The first time she wet the bed, I warned her to stop bedwetting because she is too old for that. She was left under my care by her father who is my uncle, so I needed to correct her. This is the second time she wet the bed and I needed to teach her a lesson. As I was beating her, she passed out. She was released to me by her father when I told him about the strange sickness that used to hit me because I was lonely and needed a companion.”

The victim could not talk much, but when asked if she was tortured by her cousin, she nodded in approval. National Coordinator of the Hands that Cares, Mrs. Jacinta Nworie, said  the girl was released to the suspect by her father in Kogi State because Amodu promised to train her in Lagos.
“The victim told us that the suspect bit her, inserted ointment into her private part and used stick to beat her up.”

Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, who expressed shock over the incident, described Amodu’s action as wicked.

She said:
“On February 29, 2014, the police at Onikan Division got information that a little girl was in one hospital in critical condition. The officers went there and found the victim with her face and hands swollen as a result of beating. The victim was later referred to the Military Hospital, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi for better treatment. An NGO, Hands that Care, was invited into the case by a good Nigerian. The NGO said it would settle the girl’s hospital bills, but called for Amodu’s prosecution.

It was learnt that the family members were already pleading that the victim and the suspect be released to them, saying it was a family matter. But a police source said since the victim was a minor, the government would decide if the case should be treated as a family matter or not.

A 17-year-old Nigerian girl Forester Samson (pictured above) was stabbed and burnt to death in Moscow, Russia by yet to be identified Russian gangstars, according to a report by Sunday Sun. Find the full report below

Sunday Sun gathered that she was murdered  by yet-to-be-identified Russian gangsters. According to a family source, the perpetrators went further to lock her body in a room and set it ablaze. Though, the police took her to the  hospital, it was rather futile.

The source revealed that Forester was sponsored abroad by one Mercy who is suspected to be trafficking  Nigerian girls  on the promise that she would assist them  with  decent jobs in Russia. The teenager  without hesitation, but with the approval of her mother jumped at the offer with high hopes.

According to the deceased’s elder sister, Sonia Samson, they got a call from  Mercy, on Tuesday March 4,  2014 that Forester had died in an inferno. She added that the family was later told that Forester was stabbed before being set ablaze.

Sonia said,  “Her madam is the one that called us on Tuesday and told us she was locked in a room and set ablaze by some unknown Russians. She told us that she was rushed to the hospital, that they were treating her.

“Later that day, she also told us that she was initially stabbed before she was burnt. Not too long after, she told us that she was dead. The madam said she was not the only victim in the attack. She said there were five other Nigerians, that another one died four or  five days after the attack.

“My sister died mysteriously, just as another sister of mine was also killed by  armed robbers. Sincerely, I am confused because I don’t know why all this is happening to us. Particularly for me, it is so painful that I don’t really know what to say or do. This is a difficult time for the family and I believe we need to be more prayerful more than ever before.”

The late Forester, who would have been celebrating  her 18th  birthday on March 30  hails from Igbekhue in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State. She   completed her secondary education  in 2013.

Forester’s father, Friday Osazuwa  Samson was killed four years ago in Benin by suspected armed robbers. He was shot in broad daylight in front of his shop at Upper Sakponba. Until Friday’s death, he was a successful businessman, a distributor  with Sona and Bendel breweries.

Siblings and other relatives of the late Forester’s father are worried and pained by circumstances surrounding how Forester was lured into traveling to Russia, which they described as shady. Recognizing the fact that she did not travel to Russia for further education, even as they were not also informed of such plans, they are calling on concerned authorities to wade into the matter.

They are accusing Mercy of human trafficking and  calling on National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to investigate the activities of this said Mercy. They also want the Nigerian Embassy in Russia to as a matter of urgency unravel the mystery surrounding the death of their daughter.

The dastardly act took place on March 3,  2014. Since the news  broke, the entire family has been thrown into mourning.

Sonia, who still finds it difficult to believe that her sister was gone, lamented that Forester’s death was too painful for her to easily accept. To her, she would have better been dreaming and be glad  that the story was not true.

Meanwhile, Forester’s uncle, Mr Saturday Samson Osazuwa accused Forester’s mother of conniving with the said madam (Mercy) to deceive and persuade the teenager to travel abroad. He queried why Forester’s mother, Elizabeth, decided to hide his niece’s whereabouts from him. Saturday, who now acts as a father figure to the children since their father’s death, said the mother refused to disclose where Forester was, even as he insisted on seeing her.

Said he: “The mother was aware that Forester had traveled abroad. Not just that,  I believe she was part of the arrangement that her  17-year-old daughter  should  travel abroad. It is really unfortunate and wicked of her to have taken that decision.

“If my brother, her husband was alive, he would never allow such a thing for any of  his children. What was Forester looking for in Russia? Was it to go there and school? Certainly not. Now, she has caused the entire family pain and sorrow. The girl was beautiful and intelligent. I still cannot understand what she was sent to Russia to do at her tender age.

“For more than five months, her mother was dribbling me whenever I wanted to see Forester. I sent for her to come and see me on a number of occasions but they kept telling me that she was residing with her mother’s relatives in Benin here only for me to receive a call from them that she was dead in a fire accident in Russia. This is the girl that they kept telling me was in Benin. Until her death, the mother refused to tell anybody in our family. If she thought that the children belonged to her alone, that is where she’s mistaken.”

Also, an uncle of late Forester’s father, Mr Evabayekha Christopher, described Forester’s mother as  callous. He wondered why any reasonable mother would send her own daughter  abroad for monetary reasons.

His words: “What exactly will Forester be doing  abroad when she was supposed to be studying at the University of Benin or any other higher institution of learning in Nigeria? What she did is unacceptable to every member of our family.”

In 2009 we were introduced to Wizkid in M.I’s “Fast Money Fast Cars”. 6months into 2011 one of the most anticipated albums of the year was released. Fans, Critics and Pundits awaited the release of Wizkid’s Debut Album “SUPERSTAR”. Some might say this is a very ambitious title for a debut offering but with a gazillion features and several Hit Singles, this EME boy is not one to shy away from the spotlight.
I rushed to the CD Store the day after its official release as I was not prepared to *Dull*. I expected a SuperStar performance and as God is my witness I readied my Ak-47 just in case Wizkid failed to deliver one.
Superstar begins with the infectious “Say My Name”. The hook to the album’s opening track is reminiscent of a lullaby with its catchy lines that have you singing along after just one listen. As we’ve come to expect Wizkid keeps it simple and to the point. Produced by E’kelly it is a feel good song and yes I said his name.
Track two titled “No Lele” kicks off with Wizkid yelling “Ojuelegba Shitta” for a moment there I imagined I was in a stuffy molue bus somewhere in the heart of Lagos. “Ask/Axe my sister my music travel long distance no visa, oya ask/axe your sister she no fit say she no know me”. Of note is the distinctly Fuji sound in this song. Masterkraft delivers on this Fuji inspired number. Fuji meets HipHop, Surulere meets VGC.
“Scatter the Floor”, no doubt the first official club banger is next. Wizkid in his signature style breezes through this song. In it he urges his female companion to “Follow me and scatter the floor”. Just in case his partner is worried about her 6-inch heels, Wizkid says “I will buy you new shoes to dance and scatter the floor”, who can resist? Production is on point and our thanks go to“Jay Sleeky Sleeky”.
“Oya Funke Pakuromo, pakuromo ko jo da da, Halima Pakuromo, pakuromo ko jo da da, Bolarin Pakuromo, pakuromo ko jo da da Folake Pakuromo, pakuromo ko jo da da”. Usually except an album is of the Dancehall genre you’d expect two at most three dance tracks, Wizkid is the exception to this rule. If No Lele was fuji inspired, “Pakuromo” is Fuji Themed. Samklef makes the first of several appearances on this album but strictly in a producing capacity. Not the usual techno feel we’ve come to know him for it was nice to hear a different sound. “Oya Pakuromo pakuromo ko jo da da”
“Slow whine” ft Label mate/C.E.O Banky W doesn’t quite do it for me at 1^st Listen. This track will require a little perseverance from the listener. While it is not an Instant classic after 3 glasses of Hennessey and a full night of clubbing it could qualify as a baby making song. However with clear senses it is the 1^st Average track on the Superstar Album. Banky W has been better.
“Love My Baby” produced by Shizzy is certain to be on the playlist of every female that owns a copy of this Album. There is always that one “Love song” on any decent album and Track 6 is it. “I will treat my baby right, hold my baby tight, baby no be lie”. Another Catchy hook by Wizkid it is certainly becoming a habit, all the tracks so far leave you with hooks that stick. Up next is “Gidi Girl”. This song is a tad bit ancient and I don’t think it should have made the cut. A remix or perhaps a tweaked beat would have been refreshing. No surprises here.
“Oluwa Lo Ni” welcomes back Jay Sleek. The slow tempo beat complements Wizkid to perfection in this semi-deep track. Wizkid tells off the Bad Men who want to run his race and also attempts to inspire listeners to “count their blessings”. I call this track the “Break time song” of the album, it is a welcome breather from a very “Groove filled Album” I have no complaints.
The song that inspired the intensely popular slang “Axe your Mummy” occupies the number 9 spot on the album. Ladies and gents it’s time to party! “Don’t Dull” is a crowd pleaser and probably everyone’s favorite Wizkid song right now. You Love it I Love it. I’ll rate this song a 9/10 it gets me every time.
“Tease Me/Bad guys” is another popular single off this album, thanks to a very steamy video Wizkid became the object of most women’s fantasies. This is allegedly a freestyle and the names of bad/sharp/other guys Wizkid closes this song with lends credence to this fact. I would have preferred that last bit be taken out. Tease Me is a pretty decent effort but the naming of all those guys still leaves me confused.
“EME Boyz” ft Banky W and Skales. Well every label needs a theme song and this was EME’s attempt to invent one. Asides Skales the other EME boys didn’t exactly deliver an Award winning performance. Thankfully the fantastic beat and catchy hook ensures that this song is not a total bust. After a few listens it graduates from Tolerable to Average.
“What You Wanna Do” is one of my favorite songs off this Album. Everything about this song is simply perfect. After 30seconds I’m dancing and singing at the top of my lungs “What You Wanna Do Tonight/ Me I wanna celebrate/ What You Wanna Do Tonight/ Me I wanna jubilate/ What You Wanna Do Tonight. Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!
“For Me” ft Wande Coal maintains the Tempo set by What you wanna do. I was extremely excited to hear the Mushin To Mohits Maestro we all know it has been ages. Wande Coal came correct and this duet with Wizkid is a certified home run, two words “Sleeky Sleeky”
“When you see me drive by Holla at your boy”. It would have been a travesty if this song didn’t make the cut. There is nothing to say about this song well except “Thank you Wizkid for an amazing joint”. “Holla At Your Boy” produced by the Knighthouse clan comes in at number 14.
If for any reason you skipped your childhood D’Prince of Mohits is happy to take you down memory lane. He kicks off his rap on Track 15 “Wad Up” with a very famous nursery rhyme. Not even that could put a damper on this fantastic song. This is another Hit song off this album. Welldone to Wizkid and Wad Up to D’prince.
“Shoutout” is the “Thank you song” of this album. Wizkid pays homage to the peoplein his life. I love this song and this is why: “Shout out to my real niggas God go make you bigger, I pray that you get bigger”. Amen Wizkid, God will make you bigger too”
There is a bonus track on this Album, the leaked freestyle “Wiz Party” it isn’t half bad and as soon as it ends I feel like I was at a really fun party and the Cops came to shut it down.

ALBUM RATING : 7/10
VERDICTI expected a Wizkid Album and SuperStar did not disappoint. With the amount of pressure heaped on his shoulders to deliver a newsworthy album I’m happy to say he has given us an amazing debut. Young Wizkid is no Tuface and while lyrical depth is not his strong point, party joints and dance inspiring tracks are. Djays may soon go out of fashion if Wizkid continues to release albums where every track is a Club banger as all you’ll need is the “Repeat Button” on your regular CD Player.
I was however not impressed with the Track arrangement as most of the Fantastic songs on the album came last. That does not take anything away from this album. It is a very decent first effort and one that will have fans grooving for a very long time. SuperStar is a fun Album that will lift the spirits of even the most depressed beings. The album comes with hooks that you can sing to and beats that will drive you crazy. Unarguably WIZKID is a SUPERSTAR!!!!

It was reported last week that it was Karrueche who ended their relationship because she could no longer deal with Chris' obsession with Rihanna. The singer went on twitter some days ago to profess his undying love for Kae...but fast forward to days later and he's singing a different tune 

Earlier today Chris @'d Karrueche on Twitter followed immediately with "These Hoes ain't loyal For real..." before quickly deleting both Tweets. Later he tweeted that his new song titled 'Loyal' will be dropping next week.  See the tweets after the cut...
